Heat Flow Engineer

As a Heat Flow Engineer you will analyse and optimise the heat transfer in the wind turbines. You will work in a multi-disciplinary project team, which includes engineers from other specializations and service personnel. You will
be involved in every stage of design and development. Your main focus will be on the thermal design of the generators.

Your Tasks
  • Analyse new and existing systems in our wind turbine with respect to their thermal design and heat flow.
  • Optimise the above-mentioned systems to improve wind turbine efficiency.
  • Develop cooling/heating systems or components for our wind turbines.
  • Support activities carried out by colleagues or third parties.
  • Include requirements following from standards.
  • Create solutions in case of urgent issues.
  • To play an important role in component selection.
  • To design test protocols.
Your responsibilities
  • To use the applicable standards.
  • To be informed of developments in state of the art technology.
  • To improve the wind turbine efficiency, reliability and availability.
  • To bear co-responsibility for optimal design together with other engineers.
  • To add to generator design in co-operation with the lead engineers mechanical design and electromagnetic design.
Required competencies
  • To asses designs.
  • To asses work that has not been carried out properly by third parties in own specialism.
  • To provide technical advice.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Command of Dutch or Korean is beneficial.
Education & Experience
We are looking for an engineer with a M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. The candidate needs to have a minimum of 5 years experience in the analysis/design/optimisation of
complex systems with multi-domain interactions
