control engineer

Your tasks
  • Develop software for the wind turbine control system and take part in technology, develop concept and product proposals.
  • To improve the hardware and software of the control system.
  • To support activities of colleagues or third parties.
  • To ensure requirements adherent to standards for wind turbines.
  • To create solutions in case of urgent issues.
  • To play an important role in commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing wind turbines.
  • To support certifying bodies during measurement campaign to enable data logging and data sharing via several possible communication networks.
  • To support Factory Acceptance Tests and to design test protocols.
Your responsibilities
  • To use the applicable standards for electronic installations.
  • To stay in abreast of developments in state of the art technology and keep the installations up-to-date.
  • To improve the wind turbine reliability and availability.
  • To bear co-responsibility for optimal design together with other engineers.
  • To test turbines after factory assembly and after site installation.
  • To report and administrate the software versions, in order to enable colleagues or third parties to understand the software, and to track the software versions.
Required competencies
  • To assess designs.
  • To assess work that has not been carried out properly by third parties in own specialism.
  • To provide technical advice.
Education & Experience
We are looking for an engineer with a Control System Engineering degree (BSc. Or MSc). The candidate needs to have a minimum of 5 years experience in control system engineering and experience in IEC 61131-3 programming languages.
